I'm delighted to be able to reveal that I have been cast in a No.1 Tour of Ray Cooney's Out of Order.
The UK tour is produced by Tom O'Connell Productions and will by directed by Ray Cooney himself to celebrate his 70th year in show business.
I will be understudying the part of Jane Worthington (played by Footballer's Wives star Susie Amy), Pamela Willey (played by Only Fools and Horses star Sue Holderness) and Nurse Gladys Foster (played by Elizabeth Elvin).
It is truly exciting to be working with a company of such comedy greats including Andrew Hall (Butterflies), Shaun Williamson (Eastenders, Extras), Arthur Bostrom ('Allo'Allo), James Holmes (Miranda) and David Warwick (Z Cars and DR Who).
It is my first time understudying and I'm looking forward to the challenge of being ready to go on at the drop of the hat in three very different parts, especially with the strictures of timing and physicality that farce requires...and possibly with a little more flesh showing than I'm used to.
Being directed by Ray Cooney, the Master of Farce is an absolute dream come true as is to work on such slick comedy material. I am really looking forward to starting rehearsals with this incredibly talented company come February.
